Over 500 women gathered at the Charters Towers Jockey Club on September 6 for the biggest Rural Women Unite luncheon yet — raising an incredible $73,000 to fund 500 hours of psychological support via Virtual Psychologist.

Founded by Sal Bradford and Jaime Best, the annual event connects rural and remote women while breaking the stigma around mental health.

From market stalls to heartfelt speeches and generous donations — including a semi-trailer of hay auctioned for $11,000 — the day was a powerful display of community spirit.

A huge congratulations to all involved in this inspiring event!
