"COLES CONSTRUCTION KICKS OFF IN CHARTERS TOWERS"

Big news for the Towers - construction has officially started on the new $30 million Coles at Goldtower Central, with the first soil now turned.

The long-awaited development is set to bring new local jobs, more shopping options, and a solid boost to the local economy - a great win for our region!

And in true Charters Towers style, there was a little extra excitement on the day... with an unrelated plane incident nearby. A small aircraft flipped after a hard landing, but thankfully the pilot walked away safely - nothing like keeping things interesting!
