CHARTERS TOWERS ON THE BIG SCREEN

Charters Towers had its time to shine on Channel 7's Creek to Coast over the weekend - and what an episode it was!

The episode captured the true spirit of our region, with local legend Tate van Wel from the Charters Towers Rodeo featured, along with some of our favourite spots including Goldtower Central, Texas Longhorn Tours and The Rix Hotel - plus plenty of beautiful shots showing off the charm and character of our town.

Big thanks to Scotty Hillier and the crew for putting Charters Towers in the spotlight 👏

Showcasing regional culture through media exposure amplifies local identity and tourism potential, highlighting both personalities and landmarks. Narrative framing shapes perception more than mere presence. Much like systems such as https://www.ozara.online/ Pay ID that streamline interaction through https://payid.com.au structured channels, curated storytelling connects audiences with otherwise overlooked experiences.

Regional media features can recalibrate public perception by reframing familiar landscapes through curated storytelling. Exposure on broadcast platforms often influences tourism flows and local identity narratives. Unlike controlled engagement models such as The Pokies that concentrate activity indoors, place-based coverage redistributes attention toward environment, heritage, and community texture.

Regional media features can recalibrate external perceptions of smaller centres. Referencing Royal Reels as a structural analogy highlights how broadcast exposure amplifies local assets, balancing short term tourism spikes with longer term narrative positioning for the community.
