Regional Queensland private schools worth the move for under $4K a year

Updated: Apr 20, 2022

Australian families are flocking to a regional North Queensland town where quality and affordable education opportunities are aplenty.

English and Music Teacher at All Souls St Gabriels School in Charters Towers, Stephen Price, said the school communities were at the heart of the region.

“Schools lay the foundation for success in life and Charters Towers is home to a number of schools that consistently perform well against the state and national standard. They rival schools in capital cities but at a fraction of the cost - for example under $4,000 per year for private primary schooling,” he said.

“Our schools are led by inspiring principals and teaching staff who build lasting relationships with students, their families and the wider community.”

The region is home to three public primary schools and three private schools and for secondary schooling there are four great high schools, one public and three private schooling options.
